Belizean Breakfast




Refried Beans:

3 cups of red kidney beans
salt
thyme leaves
powdered chicken bouillon

1. boil the beans in water
2. blend them
3. add oil to frying pan
4. add beans mixture to the frying pan
5. add a pinch of thyme leaves, salt, and powdered chicken bouillon
6. heat

Fry jacks

4 cups of flour
4 teaspoons of baking powder
1.5 teaspoons of salt
1.24 table spoons of shortening
2 cups of water

1. mix ingrediants
2. knead the mixture
3. roll into balls

4. let balls sit for 30 mins

5. flaten balls
6. heat oil in a frying pan

7. fry till golden brown
